my cool and awesome First Post
Wow! My first blog post! I've spent the past few days learning the basics of HTML and CSS to build up this website and get to this point and now... here I am! Look at me, a real blogger.
I could just start this off with what is actually on my mind that I'd like to write about, but writing up an inaugurational post first felt appropriate. And I wanted to do it. It's MY blog, after all!
This is fun, honestly. I've never made a website from scratch before
- obviously, I just mentioned I had to learn HTML for this -
so this has been a very interesting experience.
It's a lot less daunting than what I was expecting, frankly!

I'm keenly aware that I'm probably going about this whole website all "wrong", or at least very innefficiently, but I truly couldn't care less. For some reason, it's a lot easier for me to actually type up something structured directly into the .html document and adding in the appropriate 'divs' as I go for the looks rather than in a Google Doc.
maybe it's because this is a dark background while Google Docs is white? who knows
I'm re-reading the little I've written for this blog and wow, there's a lot of typos. Expect more. There isn't a typo detector in the neocities code editor and I don't feel like switching tools.
Okay, actually maybe I could, but I'm lazy, so I won't right now.
Anyways, I'm excited to get this blog going! I've been toying around with the idea in my head for a bit now, not necessarily a blog but at least some kind of diary that'd force me to confront my own thoughts and ideas to form them into more "solid" versions of themselves. This is only the latest iteration of that idea, and I do think it'll last longer than others I've tried so far.
I already have thoughts that I'd like to shape into different posts in the following days, so look out for that if you're interested! And when I say you, I of course mean me. Because I'm interested. And this blog is for me.
